"Some might say that sunshine follows thunder..."

Another day, another dollar... At least I can see the hills today. The clouds are dark, it looks like rain, but as of right now, it's dry. It seems most of the country is getting flooded, i'm surprised we arent. It was an uneventful day yesterday, boring actually. I am finding it hard to re-adjust to office life and the day to day boredom. I've got plenty to do but it's just not as inspiring as being on site amongst things.

We've got an important game in the QinetiQ 6-a-side league tonight. We're currently top of the table and we're playing the team in second place. We had a good 4-2 win last week so we hope to carry that same form on into this game. The last 2 games against this team have been controversial and ended up in draws so it would be good to get a win over them for once.

I'm off to Prague on Friday morning for Chris' stag weekend which should be fun. I hear Prague is dirt cheap, but they don't use Euros as currency strangely enough. I also heard it's the home of Absinthe, I daresay a bottle or two might get bought back!

The cooking is going quite well. I'm no Gordon Ramsay yet but I'm getting there slowly! I might host some kind of party when our extension is finished - hopefully the floor goes down today leaving only the skirting boards and some minor finishing off...

"You gotta keep 'em seperated! "

Monday morning in the office. Oh joy! I am not enjoying being back at Malvern at all. I look out of my window across the rain-lashed car park, and see the hills in the distance shrouded by mist. It's more like winter than summer... I fell asleep last night with the sound of the rain lashing the windows. Let's hope for an improvement in the weather. It's certainly different to the really hot sunny days I left behind in Canada...

Well - a somewhat eventful weekend - our new housemate Dave has finally sold his old house so we've inherited new sofas, and a dishwasher! I fitted it with Bishy on Saturday so no more washing up - just as well as the taps are well dodgy. Friday night I went down to the Brunswick with Coopy and Fry, and had a few beers. Sy and Ella met us there too and I got to admit that even after just a few pints of Carling I woke up on Saturday morning with a real headache. Saturday daytime I wasted it all away playing on the xbox... Sat night was the Stig's birthday surprise meal - drinks around St John's then a good old fashioned curry at Spice Cuisine. I went for the Chef's special Biryani but it was a tad too spicy - I'm not used to curries (or beers!) right now! Still, a good time was had by all and I stopped drinking fairly early so didn't even have a hangover sunday! Bonus.

Watched "The Big Lebowski" last night after getting it for £3 from Tesco's and gotta say it was well worth it - very funny!

Back to the daily drudge..... :(

"I'm sittin' at the wheel, I got a green light..."

A month since last updates! Well, a lot happened. We went to Athens, and yeah, we lost :( It was an "interesting" trip to say the least. I added photos of it to the photo gallery. After Athens, I went back to Canada for 17 days, and got home to England last Sunday. My work in Canada is finished for now. I was really sad to leave and I miss all my Canadian buddies a lot, but on the other hand it's great to be home for a while and to see everyone again. We had a really great last night in the Foggy Dew before I left - thanks to everyone who came along - again, photos are in the gallery!

Our house extension is coming along nicely and should be finished within the week so we can get some furniture in there and start using the new space. I think we're going to get the satellite feed moved into there so we can start using it as a new living room. It should be really nice in the summer months when the patio is down and the garden is back to normal - I sense a few BBQs for sure!

Hopefully now I am back, I can get back to a regular schedule of updating the website... as well as here, I am on Facebook (or should that be CrackBook!) along with most of the country, so look me up there!
