"A Suited man smiled and said - It's just a matter of time"
2 updates in a week... Unheard of!
I'm busy preparing to go away on Saturday to Toronto and Niagra for 3 days, before we head to Providence for the last scheduled trip to PVD to work. I will be back in the UK on November 22nd, and barring any emergencies, that's the last scheduled trip I've got.... so I'll be in England for a while - which will be very strange!
Well today is a day for celebration. I've finally got a box in which I can ship the xbox360 away for repair. With quoted times of up to 30 working days for delivery, I don't hold out much hope of getting it back before christmas. I think what I'll do is buy an Elite system and sell the premium when I get it back from repair. It's annoying me that I have all these games and stuff sitting there and I haven't been able to play on them... That said, I'll lose all my save games as well if I move to a new drive... Unless I can find a clever way of storing all the stuff off my original xbox hard drive.... The jury is out on that one.
This morning I picked up a new phone - A Sony Ericsson K800i - It's pretty similar to my old phone in terms of how it works which is good news. I almost traded in my old handset with all my contacts on it which would have been bad news. I could have got an extra £20 off the price of the new phone for trading, but whatever. Losing all my phone numbers is more hassle to me than saving £20 so it was an easy decision!

I said baby, you been lookin' real good...
... It's been a whirlwind last couple of weeks. I've crossed the atlantic a record number of times, and I'm feeling the strain a little. Last night, I got back from a really great (if frustrating) week in Vancouver. Work stuff went ok, with a few wrinkles... but I got to spend some quality time with Sarah, and we did some cool stuff - went to a play (Shock Horror!) and had a fun night in the Foggy Dew. I was really sad to leave on Sunday and I hope of course that I have to go back to Vancouver really soon for work.
Since the last update, there have been other numerous trips back and forth between the US and Canada. Next week, we are going to Toronto for a couple of days before going to work in the US again. I've got a digital video camera (generously donated by dad!) so I can finally go film all these weird and wonderful places I visit.
Right now, I have a shed-load of paperwork to get done (various expenses claims and timesheets) and I *still* haven't got my laptop or xbox360 repaired. I may leave work early today (seeing as I'm not even supposed to be in!) and get all this stuff sorted once and for all.
Back at home - we got our new Samsung surround sound correctly wired up to the Sky Plus box so now the Sky is in surround as well as any DVDs we watch. Awesome!
I'm thinking of playing football tonight for the first time in ages, although I have a sore knee right now (not even sure how that happened ;) ). Liverpool are on as well although the last couple of times I've watched them, they've lost! So I better not bother, as this is a must win game....
