"You're burning out, you're burning out It's never the same again"

I look outside to the hot summer's day in not so sunny England. And what do I see? The rain.... and it's pouring.... Things have been miserable here for a while. There is no sign of good weather. So much for summer.

What's been happening? Well, in truth, not much at all. I finally got my guitars back this week after getting off my ass and taking them to get fixed and set up. I had to pay £55 for the pair, and ended up spending more like £80 on various extras that I needed. Now I need to go away and learn about how to set up guitars and amps to get various sounds. I have my effects pedal, but no real clue as to how the amp levels should be set etc. Anyway, it's a diversion, and something to go away and learn about. It feels good after so long to be able to pick up a guitar and just strum, even if I am still not that good techincally. This time around, I'll concentrate on scales and technical stuff as well as just playing the chords of songs I like :p

I'm sure there is much more I could write about, but I'm a bit demotivated right now. I'm still in the rut I talked about last post. The ankle is not so painful now. I just need to devise some 'getting fit' exercises and start working on them to get the strength back and get into football again. With the weather being so awful it's hard to even think about going out on the mountain bike, let alone go out on it! I'm hoping for a drastic improvement in the weather soon.
