It's the end of the second week of our health and fitness lifestyle change. Last week, I had lost 6lbs. I don't know if I will have lost that much this week, but who knows? There was no football today (again) because of the supposed bad weather. The games were cancelled on Thursday, but of course Friday and Saturday were warmer and wetter so all evidence of snow has been washed away. Quite a few people around thought the games should have gone ahead this weekend but who could tell how things were going to go? Anyway, we decided to use the day for a trip we had wanted to do for a long time. Sarah finally got to go to the top of the Malvern hills, and as you can see, she found it a bit confusing, ha-ha.

We walked from St Ann's Well, up to the Worcestershire Beacon, and then down to the Wyche Cutting. We were going to carry on to British Camp, but after a roast beef dinner courtesy of the Wyche Inn, we thought better of it, and decided to head back to Great Malvern the way we came. This time we walked back along the east side of the hills, back to St Ann's Well, and back down through the town to the station. All told, we walked for 3 and a half hours (stopping for lunch for about 30 mins) so it was good exercise and a really nice day up on top of the hills. There were lots of people around, and lots of dogs up there having a whale of a time. The pictures of our day trip can be found here!

The fitness/gym stuff this week has been good. I wouldn't say we are into a routine yet, but it's been good going every day after work and doing some running and weights. I feel that it's making a difference to my overall fitness but it will be hard to tell until we get some football starting up again. Our diet is also going well, we are managing to make all the food we used to make, but with more understanding of the calories in it, and how portion control is important.

Better go for now! Weigh in time!
